KOCCIMA urged to beef up network of business
Agric experts have called on Kogi State Chambers of Commerce Industry Mine and Agriculture (KOCCIMA) to beep up network of business in order to generate revenue for the organisation.
Chubiyo Achibulo, a fish farmer from the University of Benin, made the call in Lokoja, while interacting on Tuesday with BusinessDay.
He said: “Chambers of Commerce is a network and an avenue to meet others. I will like them to really beef up the network of business; not just only in fish but in other areas that are related to the chambers. The network should be very vocal and the body should be strong and effective. If any company or anything related to business is coming into the state, the owner should first meet with its management.”
He stressed that KOCCIMA should borrow a leaf from Lagos State Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and sit up.
The fish farmer also said: “Just like what is going on in Lagos. People do not just wake up and establish company without informing Lagos State Chambers of Commerce,” saying that by so doing, the organisation would be able to network a lot of business and generate more revenue for themselves.
