Osun partners Malaysian firm on cocoa processing
Osun State government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Malaysian firm, Asa Palmilk in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the processing of cocoa-based food products.
The MoU is targeted at co-operation and collaboration between the state and Asa Palmik in the area of trade and investment, agriculture and agro-allied industry (agricultural produce processing), particularly with focus on cocoa-based food products.
The signing of the MoU was executed by Moshood Adeoti, secretary to the state government, and Charles Akinola, director-general, Office of Economic Development and Partnerships on behalf of Osun State government, and Nor Azlinda Dato’s Shaari, executive director, on behalf of Asa Palmik.
Asa Palmlink is a manufacturing company involved in chocolate processing for domestic and international market, and part of the Asa Group of Companies.
According to a statement from Semiu Okanlawon, director, Osun State Bureau of Communications, the signing ceremony was attended by top officials of Asa Palmik and UCSI University, Malaysia, and also had in attendance top government functionaries on leadership development tour of Malaysia.
