Aregbesola sworn in for second term
Governor Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola of Osun State on Thursday was sworn in for another term of four years in office.
He was sworn in at the Osogbo Township Stadium. About 1.10p.m, Grace Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, his deputy, was sworn in by Justice Adepele Ojo, the chief judge of the state, before the governor was sworn in about 1.25p.m.
Present at the ceremony were Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader; Muhammadu Buhari, former head of state and APC presidential aspirant; Bisi Akande, former acting national chairman of APC; Governors AbdulFatah Ahmed, Adams Oshiomhole, Ibikunle Amosun and Babatunde Fashola of Kwara, Edo, Ogun and Lagos, respectively.
Also present were former Governor Segun Oni of Ekiti; former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti; former Governor Isiaka Adeleke of Osun; former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun; wives of Lagos, Kwara, Oyo governors, Abimbola Fashola, Omolewa Ahmed and Florence Ajimobi, respectively; Lai Mohammed, APC national publicity secretary; Moses Adeyemo-Alake, deputy governor, Oyo State; Adeyemi Ikuforiji, speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly; Najeem Salaam, speaker, Osun House of Assembly and Adewale Omirin, speaker, Ekiti House of Assembly; Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, among others..
