China seeks bilateral relations with Ogun on tourism, infrastructure development
Driven by the mission to cement her eco¬nomic and political ties with Nigeria, the Re¬public of China has sought to strike a bilateral agreement with Ogun State, focusing on key economic areas such as tourism, infrastructure, agriculture and culture.
China proposed an eco¬nomic partnership with the state as part of its gov¬ernment’s effort tailored towards Africa’s socio-eco¬nomic development that will bring about economic viability and growth, espe¬cially in Ogun State.
Speaking at the Chinese embassy in Lagos with the Ogun State government delegation weekend, Liu Kan, new China consular general to Nigeria, disclosed that China had identified some economic areas of growth and development in the state, having observed tourism, agriculture and culture as main areas of the state’s economic potentials.
