DCSL, NSITF to hold talks on Employees Compensation Act

DCSL Corporate Services Limited, in collaboration with the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), will on Thursday 23, July, 2015 host a roundtable dialogue for directors, compliance officers, human resource practitioners, company secretaries, in-house and external counsel to sensitize stakeholders about the compliance requirements under the Employees Compensation Act (ECA).

 The event theme: “Practical Challenges of the Employees Compensation Act”, which will be moderated by Bisi Adeyemi, managing director, DSCL Corporate Services Limited, would take place at the Protea Westwood Hotel, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to a statement by DCSL, the discussions would be centered on: a review of the NSITF by Ismail Agaka, general manager, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund; Practical Implementation of the ECA/NSITF by Professor Dafe Otobo, President, Nigerian Industrial and Employment Relations Association; Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms under the ECA/NSITF by Comrade Ismail Bello, Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Lagos State chapter.

This would be followed by a seminar theme: “Sustaining Business in the 21st Century” billed to take place on July 30, 2015, at the same venue with a ₦100,000 fee. The target audience of the seminar are: Directors, Entrepreneurs, Owner managers, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Family Owned Companies.
