EFCC chairman spotted at Aso Rock

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu, was today spotted at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, rushing in to see President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was not clear if he met with the President as he emerged from the office barely five minutes after going in. The anti graft chairman declined comments when approached by journalists to comment on the reason for his visit and other front burner issues.
Magu who was escorted by his security aide went in with a file and returned with it, though it could not be confirmed if he went in to submit a letter to the President.
Visit is coming barely 24 hours after the EFCC arrested arrested a former military governor of Kaduna State and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Lawal Jafaru Isa.

Isa is the first chieftain of the APC arrested by the EFCC since the beginning of a sweeping probe into the alleged diversion of $2.1 billion meant for arms purchase by officials of the immediate-past administration.
