EFCC confirms release of Ohakim
… moves to prepare charges against
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim from custody after arresting him on Thursday, June 18, 2015.
Wilson Uwujaren, spokesman for the EFCC told Business Day that “We are still in investigation stage. After this stage, we will prepare charges against him.”
He noted that there is no time limit to the antigraft agency’s investigation on any economic and financial crimes.
“We will go for him any time we need him,” Uwujaren added.
Recall that Ohakim was arrested by officials of the EFCC after he failed to respond to invitation.
