FCTA offers free treatment for victims of Kuje, Nyanya multiple bomb blasts
Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has offered free medical treatment for all the victims of the multiple bomb blasts that occurred in Kuje police station and market as well as Nyanya.
No fewer than 15 persons died while some others suffered various degree of injuries in the multiple bomb blast that occurred on Friday night in Kuje Police station and market.
Speaking during a visit to the scene of the bomb blast at Kuje and Nyanya, John Chukwu, FCT permanent secretary, who condemned the ugly incidences, directed that all hospitals across the territory where victims of the unfortunate bomb blasts are taken to, to give adequate medical care as the Administration is prepared to pick all their medical bills.
Chukwu also at the Kuje General Hospital and the National Hospital, Abuja where the injured persons were taken to and the dead deposited at the mortuaries.
He also directed the FCT Health and Human Services Secretariat and the FCT Emergency Management Agency to redouble their efforts and commended them on how they moved in promptly to immediately provide succour to the injured.
The Permanent Secretary further directed that any serious case be urgently referred to a specialist hospital to mitigate the pains.
During the visit, Chukwu sympathized with injured persons as well as those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate and barbaric incident.
He however appealed to the residents of the Territory to always avoid crowded areas as the masterminds of the acts are usually targeting maximum damage.
The Permanent Secretary has however urged the residents of the Federal Capital Territory to be more vigilant and report any suspicious person (s) or movement (s) to the law enforcement agents.
He called for calm and assured that the security agencies in the Federal Capital Territory are on top of the situation.
