Gunmen kill PDP chieftain in Osun State

Yomi Ademola,a prominent member of the Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was reportedly gunned down in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.

BusinessDay gathered that Ademola was murdered in the early hours of Saturday, March 28 2015.According toresidents who confirmed the sad development, they were awakening by the soundof gunshots at around 4:45 am by the hoodlums who carried out the act.

The deceased had recently defected to the PDP from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC),in the state.

But when our reporter contacted Folasade Odoro, theOsun State Police Command spokesperson, declined to comment on the matter.

She picked the call and refused to speak once she learnt that her caller was from a media organisation.

Although she took several other calls put through to her but refusedto speak.
