Ikpeazu, Abia governor, appoints Adindu chief press secretary
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has announced the appointment of Godwin Adindu as his chief press secretary (CPS). The appointment is with immediate effect.
Adindu, a thorough-bred journalist, served in the immediate past administration of Theodore Orji, in various categories in the media office.
While on his beat, his well-researched essays did a lot to educate and inform many of his readers about the goings-on in Abia State, particularly on governance.
Well-versed in the political history of the state, Adindu, a veteran journalist and public relations consultant, social critic and government spokesperson, is expected to bring his over twenty-five years robust experience to bear on his new assignment.
Before the appointment, he was a Special Adviser to Governor Theodore Orji on Media and Communication.

Adindu started his career as an Assistant Lecturer in the Language and Communication Department of the Adventist Seminary of West Africa (now Babcock University) and later joined the defunct The Post Express Newspapers, where he rose to the position of Features/Metro Editor.
He would later join the pioneer team of the INSIDER MAGAZINE and left in 2002 to serve as the Head of Covers and Investigation of Daily Independent Newspapers.
In 2004, Adindu made a foray into Media/Public Relations Consultancy and served with the C and F Porter Novelli as a senior manager, Media Services. The job exposed him to the agency side of media operations. Later, he joined TaijoWonukabe Ltd, another PR agency with specialisation in Custom Media, as the Head of Custom Media.
In 2007, he founded his own marketing communication agency, Goodwill Communication Company Ltd, and served as the Managing Partner until 2011 when he joined the media team of the immediate past governor as a Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication.
