Jonathan, Buhari in closed door meeting
President-elect Maj Gen. Muhammad Buhari (rtd.) and outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This is the first meeting between the two since Buhari was declared winner of the March 28 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The meeting, which was described as “private” was held inside the new Banquet Hall at the president’s office. The agenda of the meeting was not known.
Presidential spokesman, Rueben Abati, confirmed the meeting in a phone call.
