Metuh falls, rushed to National Hospital
The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, was rushed to the National Hospital after he slipped off a swivel chair at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.
The incident occurred few minutes before the inauguration of the Kebbi and Borno states caretaker committees of the party at the National Working Committee hall of the party.
The gathering which comprised the national chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, NWC members and others, were thrown into shock when the swivel chair Metuh was trying to seat on suddenly gave way under him, slamming him hard on the floor.
For close to 10 minutes, he laid unconscious on the floor.
He was subsequently revived and assisted by his aides and two armed policemen who carried him to the car which was parked at the back of the secretariat.
He was immediately rushed to the National Hospital for medical treatment.
As of the time of filling this report, his health condition was not yet known.
