MTN donates five security vans to Edo govt

MTN Nigeria late Wednesday evening in Benin, the Edo State capital, handed keys of five Hilux security patrol vans to the state government as part of its corporate social responsibility to the people of the state.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole, who received the keys of the vehicles from the leaders of the MTN Foundation delegation, said: “I and the people of Edo State are very thankful and grateful to MTN for coming to assist us in the area of security by donating five brand new welled equipped vehicles to aid us in providing facility to our security agencies”.

He said he had no doubt in his mind that the addition will help the ability and capability of the state’s security agencies to deal with criminals, adding that by the gesture the telecom giant has shown, they understand that as corporate citizen it has a responsibility to every community in which it operates.

“As they say, action speaks louder than words. I think these five vehicles make a loud statement. I want to appreciate you and assure you that these vehicles will be deployed strictly for the purpose for which they were donated,” he said.
