Naira opens at record low of 192.60 on tight dollar supply

The naira opened at a record low of 192.60 on Wednesday due to tight dollar supplies, down 0.26 percent from its previous close.

The naira has been hitting record lows against the dollar this year as dollar liquidity dries up in the wake of tumbling oil prices, Nigeria’s main export.

The unit closed at a record low of 192.10 naira to the dollar on Tuesday.
