Nigeria’s Economy: Buhari, Govs in closed door meeting
State Governors are currently meeting behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to continue with discussion on the dwindling state of the nation’s economy.
The meeting is a cap of two meetings held last Wednesday and Yesterday Night, respectively, at the old banquet hall of the Presidential Villa under the aegis of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
Issues on long and short term solutions to economic problems in the state are on the front burner of the forum and will be tabled before the President.
The meeting kicked off at exactly 2pm at the council chambers of the Presidential Villa.
Governors at the meeting include: Akwa Ibom, Edo, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano, Kwara, Borno, Ondo, Delta, Adamawa, Jigawa, Kaduna, Gombe, Niger, Enugu, Ogun, Nasarawa, Katsina and Kebbi. Deputy governors of Bayelsa, Anambra and Oyo states are also in attendance.
