NPA expects 31 ships laden with petroleum products, foods in Lagos
Thirty one ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from June 30 to July 18.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication- `Shipping Position’ – made available to newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday.
The document stated that the expected ships contained general cargo, crude palm oil, bulk salt, bulk rice, buckwheat, diesel, petrol, bulk gypsum, fresh fish, bulk bauxite, vehicle, containers and crude palm oil.
NPA stated that eight other ships had arrived at the ports waiting to discharge bulk rice, fresh fish, bulk soya, diesel and petrol.
21 other ships at the ports were discharging buckwheat, general cargo, steel products, bulk, base oil, clincker and bulk soya.
The publication stated that other ships were discharging bulk rice, container, petrol, diesel and buthane.
