Oko Poly signs MoU with Germany on science, technology development

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra and a German company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost science and technology courses in the institution.

Signing the MoU on Thursday, the Rector of the institution, Prof Godwin Onu, said the partnership would go a long way in enhancing technological development in the school and the country in general.

Onu said the project started after his visit to the company in Germany six months ago with a view to improving the technical education in the polytechnic.

The company will provide science equipment for training of middle based manpower as well as training and retraining of workers in the field.

He said that his aim was to transform the institution for possible upgrade to a university of science and technology.
