Police name new commissioners for Lagos, Delta, Anambra, FCT, 17 other states

Suleiman Abba, the acting inspector-general of police (IGP), on Monday, approved new commissioners of police for 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In a statement by Emmanuel Ojukwu, force public relations officer, the postings are “in line with the determination and drive to reposition the Nigeria police force for improved service delivery”.

Ojukwu said Usman Yakubu is now posted to Nasarawa State; Isaac Gabriel Achong, Akwa-Ibom State; Paul E. Okafor, Kogi State; Hyacinth M. Dagala, Benue State; Idris Faruk Umar, Jigawa State; Salihu Garba, Kwara State.

According to the statement, A. K. Shodipo is now in charge of Oyo State; Abubakar Marafa, Osun State; Clement O. Adoda, Borno State; Kayode C. Aderanti, Lagos State; Usman A. Baba, Delta State.

Others are Dan Bature, Rivers State; Karma Hosea Hassan, Anambra State; Titilayo M. Busari, Cross River State; Valestine U. Ntomchukwu, Bayelsa State; Frederick T. Lakanu, Ekiti State; Ademola Omole, Taraba State; Olusola Emmanuel Amore, Niger State; Adejoh Gabriel Adaji, Adamawa State; Ishaku Barau, Kebbi State and Ag. Cp. Wilson A. Inalegwu, FCT.
