ABC acquires 10 new luxury coaches

As part of its fleet expansion programme which is aimed at satisfying the increasing demands of its teeming customers, ABC Transport has injected 10 new luxury coaches to its fleet. These coaches are equipped with on-board security surveillance cameras, GPRS tracking technology and speed control limiters.

Before the end of the third quarter, five more coaches will be acquired and deployed to the domestic routes. Meanwhile, in the coming weeks, ABC Transport will take delivery of 23 new mini-buses for its Sprinter Service and Shuttle Service operations.

Few months ago, ABC Transport plc was awarded the “Best Land Transporter in Nigeria” at the Abuja Bantaba Award ceremony organised by Akwaaba Travel Market, publishers of the African Travellers Magazine. This award was bestowed on the transport company in recognition of its outstanding services in land transportation.

The coach service operator has been severally commended for its pioneering role in the road transport sector and its enviable safety records in the industry. It has always striven to maintain internationally accepted safety standards in its overall operations.

Earlier in the year, it received the “Service Excellence Award” at the maiden edition of the Nigerian Consumer Awards in Abuja and the “Most Organised Transport Company” at the 8th edition of the Nigerian Auto Awards held in Lagos. It is the only road transport company listed on Nigerian Stock Exchange, providing haulage services for WAPCO-Lafarge, UNICEM, Nestle Waters, GZ Industries and Beta Glass, besides running cargo operations, third-party warehousing and City Transit Inn, a budget hotel in Utako, Abuja.
