Coscharis ‘Ride & Drive’ puts JLR to set paces

It was a thrilling experience for both the enthusiastic driver and the passengers who visited Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos recently for the Nigerian version of Jaguar Land Rover Ride & Drive event. The event was held in partnership with MTN and Stanbic IBTC not only to excite and delight customers, but to create an opportunity for them to network.

Put it in one single context, the Ride and Drive event aimed to demystify these machines by giving guests a chance to be behind the wheel. After sign up and making acquaintance with Coscharis Motors and the Jaguar Land Rover Experience team from South Africa, the participants were first guided through each car’s specific features as well as both safety and luxury features.

Paraded during the day are Jaguar Land Rover models that included the Range Rover Autobiography, Land Rover Discovery and the Sport versions, the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. The Jaguar family had for the experiential test the Jaguar XJ flagship sedan, XF,XE and the F-Type sports car version.

On the rationale behind the new thinking by the franchisee, the general manager, marketing and corporate services, Abiona Babarinde said customers deserved a feel, touch and exploration of the capacity and features of the brand.

“That is why we call it drive and ride, you will be driven and you will also drive, so it is all about having a total experience of the Jaguar Land Rover brand. What we sell basically is not just the car, we sell lifestyle and that is the beauty of the fun and relate with fantastic machines.” He noted.

In the last four months, we have introduced the latest Jaguar Land Rover XE and the Discovery Sport. If you are an existing customers of any of these brands, this is an opportunity for you to test drive the new variance that are in the market. This is also an avenue for you to have our after sales service person, so that you can have a clinic where your issues can be heard”, Babarinde said.

Offering much better familiarity from many different levels, that may force users to reminisce on the drive experience, Babarinde said that it was glaring that having experience of the brand was the best way for customers to make buying decision.

“That is why we are not also just bringing you to come and drive, we have as well brought in our experts from South Africa to tell you if you are probably under utilizing the car you have. That is also why the basic thing here is on the road capability of your car and to tell you about your terrain and that you can do a lot more with Jaguar Land Rover”.
