Elizade gauges Toyota ‘fleet managers’ heartbeat
Michael Ade.Ojo, the 76-year-old founder of Elizade Nigeria Limited, has advised vehicles owners and motorists to ensure their vehicles are regularly checked to ensure the vehicles are in top condition.
Speaking at the 2014 Fleet Managers’ Forum organised by the 43-year-old Toyota dealership in Nigeria held inside the Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, Ade.Ojo stated: “It is quite unfortunate that car owners do not pay serious attention to maintaining their vehicles and these are just like human beings that requires regular health checks from time to time.
“It is appropriate to carry out appropriate and timely maintenance of these vehicles to keep them on the road all the time especially now that new cars attract 35 percent duty and 35 percent levy respectively.”
In his keynote address delivered by Ademola Ade-Ojo, managing director, Elizade Nigeria Limited, he stated that with the dealership coming to appreciate and interact with its customers through the forum attests to its commitment to sustaining the valued it attaches to its fleet customers nationwide.
The managing director maintained that Elizade Nigeria Limited has been at the forefront of rendering world-class services both in sales and after-sales arms of the business. Doing so, he said, is the reason the company have not only remained very relevant in the scheme of things in the automobile sector of the Nigeria economy, but have has remained the undisputed leader and a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
This 2014 event was in line with the tradition of the company in giving useful insight on maintenance tips and other steps that owners of Toyota vehicles purchased from Elizade Show follow to prolong the lifespan of their vehicles.
In his words, “We know that maintaining our leadership position in the local market would be quite challenging, but with our partnership with you, whatever challenge that comes our way is surmountable.”
Going further, he reiterated that, the twin-objective of the gathering is to further cross-pollinate ideas and jointly develop a new template with which to serve the fleet Toyota buyers better. The managing director applauded the Elizade customers for their support to the twin brand “Elizade-Toyota”.
In his own assertion, Herbert Ademola Ajayi, chairman of Elizade, maintained that the year-in-year-out objective of the gathering was to come together and share knowledge, ideas, experience and further educate guests and users of Toyota on how best the dealership could delight customers and take them a notch higher in line with the kaizen (continuous improvement) philosophy of Toyota Motor Corporation.
He stressed that the reason the firm is a living colossus in Nigeria today despite being a wholly-owned indigenous company with world-class appeal stems from the firm’s focused commitment to the philosophy of uncompromising customer satisfaction.
“Our focus remains ‘customer first’. We are sold to this “customer first” philosophy. We will never be satisfied until you are satisfied. This is both a promise and a pledge,” the chairman added.
This year’s fleet managers’ forum and customer loyalty programme attracted stakeholders from the transport sector including Kayode Opeifa, the Lagos State commissioner for transportation; university dons and Hyginus Omeje, Lagos State FRSC sector commander; Olusoji Adebayo, VIO head of operations, Lagos State and representatives of LASTMA, including other industry chieftains.
