Faulty tyre pressure ignites new Mazda6 recall
The new generation of the Mazda6 is the subject of a recall in the United States because of the faulty tyre pressure monitoring software as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recently issued a recall for the new generation of the Mazda6.
According to the reports, there are approximately 100,000 units of the new Mazda6 sedan which are affected by this issue and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get it solved, as the software that is governing the system might not work properly and the drivers will not be alerted when the tyre pressure is critically low.
If this happens, the risk of a crash will increase because of a high speed blow-out. The good news is that the US vehicle safety regulator and Mazda are not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this condition.
The recall is expected to begin on December 5 and owners of the affected cars will be contacted by the company. The fix consists of a simple software re-flash and it will be made free of charge.
