GAC Motor presents GS5 Trumpchi to AMVCA winners
The event was indeed very short, precise and straight to the business of the day. It was the in fulfilment of a promise made by GAC Motors during the last 2016 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) ceremony was held in Lagos penultimate , weekend when the automobile dealership presented two units of the Trumpchi GS5 in Victoria Island, Lagos to two lucky winners in AMVCA event.
Recall that penultimate Saturday, the highpoint of the event filled with glitz and glamour began when the ‘Trail Blazer Award’ winner won by the emotional Kemi Lala Akindoju was rewarded with a brand new GS5 model of GAC Motor.
Kemi who was adjudged to have proven to be a trail blazer, according to the organisers has created a path in Nigeria and Africa movie industry and hence deserves the elegance & luxury that GAC Motor offers.
The event then peaked and ended with the Best Overall Movie of the year award which was won by Stephanie Linus with her movie titled “Dry”. The movie was inspired by a true life story and based on child right. Both cars were presented to the lucky winners by Diana Chen, president/chairman, CIG Motors Co., Ltd.
In her response, Kemi appreciated GAC Motor for the amazing gift. “God bless GAC Motor for supporting creativity, this gift will only spur us to do more, thank you”. She was so emotional that she was lost for words.
Stephanie Linus was also presented with a GS5 by Diana Chen as her reward for innovation, research and execution of the project which stood out. Stephanie noted that “GAC GS5 is such a beautiful car; I really appreciate this amazing gift.”
Speaking shortly before the presentation of the two Trumpchi GS5 SUV to Kemi Lala Akindoju to Stephanie Linus the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award winners, Diana Chen, the chairperson of CIG Motors Company Limited said that, the partnership with AMVCA was designed to recognise and reward outstanding achievement in Africa, using television and film as a launch pad.
The CEO disclosed that the brand hopes to do more by constantly rewarding smart, innovative and highly intellectual Nigerians and Africans to actualize their dreams.
On the same vein, Khadijah Junaid, executive director, CIG Motors Co. Limited, added “GAC brand is a trail blazer and that is the essence of the sponsorship of the award category. Our brand takes into cognizance that our customers are on a journey to their dream and GAC Motor is a supporter of those dreams”.
She expressed optimism that the awards and the gifts will spur the recipients to do more and never rest relent. The executive director said the dealerships have just rewarded innovation, research and top-notch project execution or style as the case may be.

The 2016 award was broadcast live in more than 50 countries to industry veterans, politicians, business and boardroom moguls, up and coming celebrities, media and other premium guests who converged at the Eko Hotels Convention Center, Victoria Island, Lagos while millions of audience watched live across Africa.
