Lanre Shittu slashes prices of Mack truck parts

In a strategic marketing move to keep Mack trucks on the Nigerian roads and service its fleet users well, Lanre Shittu Motors, sole representative of the American brand in Nigeria, has slashed the prices of the trucks spare parts in its ongoing promo.

Group Executive Director, Taiwo Shittu told BusinessDay on telephone that the company’s aimed is to appreciate its loyal customers. He said “Customers would enjoy over 30 percent discount in the ongoing promo on spare parts purchased during the period.”

He explained that the promo period might be extended depending on management’s decision. “This is our own way of saying ‘thank you’ to our customers and encouraging them to keep their Mack trucks on the road without complaints. Our dream is to see of the trucks on Nigerian highways, making returns to their owners who have made investments in the vehicles.” He called on Mack truck users to seize the opportunity and acquire Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) parts.

According to the company, the promo, which started also two weeks ago , will run till the end of the year and is open to both owners of new and old Mack trucks. He described Mack vehicles as workhorses, stressing that an average Mack truck has lifespan of over 30 years if properly maintained, and encouraged Mack truck owners to buy original spare parts from the manufacturers directly from the company.

Shittu further hinted that his company decided to introduce the cut in the prices of all Mack truck spare parts because of the need to encourage users to use genuine spare parts, adding that his company had direct technical support from Mack truck company in the United States of America.

“We are offering 30 per cent discount for all Mack truck spare parts ranging from servicing kits to clutches, radiators, brake pads, Electronic Control Units and Bulldog batteries,” he stated.  Over 33 per cent of premium truck market in the country is imported and distributed by Lanre Shittu Motors.
