RT. Briscoe opens automobile garage at LAUTECH
Barely 48 hours after RT Briscoe plc automobile division opened its Briscoe Garage inside the University Of Lagos, the publicly quoted company moved up the ladder once more when it officially commissioned another automobile workshop inside the main campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology in Ogbomosho.
The RT Briscoe, outside the box thinking and franchisees of the Toyota and Ford in Nigeria in collaboration with the authorities of Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology occassion was so strategic and important that it was graced by distinguished guests from the Ogbomosho town as well as management of the university.
The vice chancellor of the university, A.S. Gbadegesin, a professor represented by the deputy vice chancellor of the institution, Timothy Adebayo, also a professor expressed gratitude to the RT Briscoe led by Seyi Onajide, the managing director and chief executive for bringing back to life the automobile workshop with the installation of modern auto services and repair equipment.
The LAUTECH Vice Chancellor opined that the factory will also be of great resource to academics and training programs of the University. He was particularly happy that the factory will enable engineering students of the university to have first hand experience on the use of some mechanical equipment which will be a perfect complement to the curriculum of the engineering students.
On his part, Seyi Onajide, managing director, represented by Olufemi Esan, national after sales manager of RT Briscoe plc said the Briscoe garage is set up and designed to bring quality automobile service support to the University community and its environs.
He said the move was taken to address the expectations of both the individual and corporate fleet vehicle owners from within the University community and other customers coming from outside the institution in their quest to get quality and satisfactory automobile services which has eluded them for a very long time.
Onajide thanked the management of the University for their Support in the establishment of the workshop. The occassion was greeted by a lot of excitements and enthusiasm from the staff and students of the university who toured the workshop after the official launching to see equipments, tools and machineries including work bays and lifts installed inside the upgraded RT Briscoe Garage inside the University.
