The newly reintroduced Yokohama brand of tyres is exclusively marketed and distributed in Nigeria by Viramsun Nigeria Limited. Established in 1917, Yokohama tyres have earned reputation for high quality, dependability and superior performance on all surfaces.
In a statement made available to BusinessDay, the TNAA committee extolled Yokohama’s road ‘grip’ features which is reassuring on safety irrespective of wet or dry surface conditions.
Pankaj Arora, general manager, Viramsun Nigeria Limited, who acknowledged these attributes at a post-award remarks, said: “We are proud to be partners with a premium world class brand like Yokohama which is fitted as original equipment on numerous brands including Audi, Honda, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota.”
He said Yokohama tyres have traversed several technological accomplishments and won numerous firsts for designing and developing exceptional tyres with excellent surface grip that bolster safety and provide improved fuel economy.
“The design and development of Yokohama tyres optimises road tyre contact pressure and maximises grip levels and water evacuation capabilities so does its advanced tread design reduces tyre noise levels, and ensures quiet and comfortable drive,” Pankaj explained.
Yokohama tyres similarly have ultra-high performance applications that not only support efficient performance, but enhance the aesthetic value of a car, Pankaj noted. Viramsun manager said it stocks and distributes all Yokohama range of tyre applications, be it passenger car, van, 4X4, light trucks, heavy trucks and bus tyres.
The tyre variants also offer excellent grip on straight roads and curves just as its thick wide-shoulder-blocks maximise traction and improve road handling and braking responsiveness and uses intensive silica to resist wear and heat which increases tyre life and lower rolling resistance – a criterion that enhances ultra-high speed capabilities when driving at high speeds.
Yokohama has also won several international laurels for adroitness and high performance especially in small and large executive saloons including commercial vans and on/off track applications with outstanding quality for reliability and durability.
