Health workers join 7-day nationwide warning strike
Medical and Health workers across the country have been directed to join the seven day warning strike as part of efforts geared towards pressing home the demand for new minimum wage.
Josiah Biobelemoye, President of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria issued the directive at a press briefing held in Abuja.
He also noted that JOHESU is not on strike as alleged in some quarters, adding that the Medical and Health Workers Union is a member of NLC.
BusinessDay gathered that the emergency meeting scheduled by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to meet with the leadership of the three labour centres, namely Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and United Labour Congress (ULC) on Wednesday night was put on hold and expected to hold today.
