AXA Mansard gets industry recognitions on good financial management

Leading non-bank financial services group, AXA Mansard has won three awards at the 2016 Nigeria CFO Awards held recently.

For the second consecutive year, the Chief Financial Officer, AXA Mansard, Rashidat Adebisi, won the CFO of the Year award in the Insurance category. In addition, the Finance team of AXA Mansard won Bronze in the Finance Team of the Year category and also a special award in the Finance & Technology Award category.

Receiving the award, Adebisi thanked the organisers for the recognition and dedicated the awards to members of the Finance team in AXA Mansard. “We are humbled and honoured to be recognised in three different categories for the strength of our Finance teams. These recognitions further affirm AXA Mansard’s position as a leader and trailblazer”.

Commenting further, she said “We will continue to challenge ourselves as an institution to continue to exert positive influence on our industry and the economy. We will differentiate ourselves by pursuing innovative solutions and maintaining high standards in creating sustainable value for stakeholders”.

Also speaking at the awards night, the Chief Executive Officer of Instinct Business magazine and organiser of the CFO awards, Akin Naphtal, commented that with the current economic recession and financial instability in the country, the role of the CFO has become more strategic. Finance experts have a significant role to play in creating viable businesses and enhancing the profitability of their organisation.

The annual Nigeria CFO Awards, organised by Instinct Business, recognises and celebrates not only Chief Financial Officers and their teams, but also the firms that provided the needed support, services and technologies for their success.

The awards ceremony attracted CFOs from different industries including Banking, Insurance, Media, Pharmaceuticals, Construction, Telecommunications, Conglomerates, Logistics & transport.

In a related development, AXA Mansard recently emerged as winner of the “Best In House Legal Team” in the Insurance category for the 2nd consecutive year and the Company Secretary, Omowunmi Adewusi, received an outstanding recognition in the “40 under 40 Legal Practitioners” award category at the 2016 ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards.
