Great Nigeria staff moves up after H1 performance appraisal
Eighteen staff of Great Nigeria Insurance plc spread across the various levels of the organisation have recently been promoted after the conclusion of the Company’s half year performance appraisal.
Among those promoted include Ademuyiwa Kareem, Adeboye Adebanjo, Michael Ewetumo, Lekan Lawal Akin Fakunle, Akanni Oyedele and Osanaiye Oluwatoyin.
This upward movements also affected two executive officers now moved up to senior executive officers, while another six staff on the executive trainee level have been moved to the executive officer level. In the same breath, three junior staff were promoted from clerk to principal clerk cadre.
The promotions the company said are coming on the heels of a recent salary review companywide that was approved by the board.
Cecilia Osipitan, managing director/CEO, said these actions “further demonstrates the Company’s Commitment to fulfilling the promise of rewarding excellent performance and motivating staff to strive for excellence.”
Great Nigeria Insurance plc’s management action has also reflected the value appreciation on its human capital and the tremendous growth the Company has experienced since 2009 when the Company’s transformation started.
In continuation of the ongoing Companywide customer service improvement, the Company in recent time initiated series of plans which includes changes in the Company’s IT software and staff empowerment for optimum performance and smooth running of all channels of service delivery.
Following the above initiative also is the renewed concentration in Insurance retail market by GNI Plc. Some of its retail products are sold under the eBusiness platform and have been enjoying increased patronage from the public; one of the products is Fireproof, this cover against possible loss of properties through fire, another is Great Savers Delight; which is a savings investment scheme, Motorflex is an improved version of third party motor insurance policy and GNI Personal Accident Insurance product is for injuries sustained in any accidents.
