Insurers boost awareness at 2016 Fitness Walk

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) weekend held its 2016 Annual Fitness Walk with different insurance companies appearing in the Institute’s branded shirts, displaying fitness and also used the opportunity to create awareness.

The walk tagged the Insurance Industry Road Show and led by the Institute’s President and Chairman of Council, Isioma Chukwuma saw the industry walk and danced from take off point in Jibowu to Anthony area of Lagos.

Chukwuma in her address appreciated participants, sating the sustaining the fitness walk annually is an indication that the industry is not only mentally fit but also physically fit.

This year’s edition commenced from the premises of Guinea Insurance Plc, Jibowu and terminated at Niger Insurance, Anthony office which. Participants displayed the banners of their respective companies while engaging the public through distributing handbills with information on their companies and their offerings.

Director General of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Tayo Borokini, stated that it remains a veritable platform for reaching out to members of the public in a most unique way, an event that no insurance company ever liked to miss.

Borokini also said that the Fitness Walk provides beneficial opportunity for physical fitness, especially for executives with busy schedules.
