Mutual Benefits lauds NAICOM reform efforts

 As positive reviews continue to follow NAICOM’s reform efforts, Akin Ogunbiyi, the group managing director of Mutual Benefits Assurance plc, has commended the ongoing reform efforts of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), that is targeted at repositioning the nation’s insurance industry.

Ogunbiyi, who emphasised specifically the “No Premium No Cover” policy introduced January 1, 2013 by NAICOM said the leadership of the Commission led by Fola Daniel, has exercised a rare courage pointing that this legacy would remain indelible in the annals of history.

“I wish to commend you and your entire team for your unrivaled commitment and relentless efforts at repositioning the insurance industry. In particular, the recent introduction of ‘No Premium No Cover’ is most laudable.“Your enthusiasm and your ability to motivate have resulted in significant increase in productivity and profitability of the industry.”

Ogunbiyi in a letter of commendation addressed to Fola Daniel said, “There is no doubt that the recent initiative will be one of the lasting legacies of your tenure and the impact of your accomplishments will be felt well after you have left the stage.

“In addition, we at Mutual would like to say ‘thank you’ for your tireless commitment and commendable contributions in giving the insurance industry the recognition it now has today.

This is just the beginning of good things to come and we are very happy to have such a courageous, enthusiastic and dedicated Commissioner at the helm of affairs,” Ogunbiyi noted.
