NCRIB excited about soaring profile

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) is excited about its soaring profile and how it has helped its positioning as an important member of the nation’s insurance service provider.

Laide Osijo, president NCRIB, said brokerage business has been taken to lofty heights during her tenure and that operators now have conspicuous place in the comity of respected professionals.She disclosed this at the Council’s Monthly Members’ Evening hosted by Cornerstone Insurance plc in Lagos, adding that she would be leaving the NCRIB better than she met it.

Osijo said with the help from God and members, her administration has taken the brokerage body to the position of envy among professional institutions in the country and beyond.

Through the entrenchment of sound ethical practice and professional conduct, insurance brokers are now esteemed, stressing that efforts have been made to develop a strong institution that will make the NCRIB perform its mandate creditably, she said.

She lauded the amity that exists between brokers and the industry’s regulator – National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and other professional bodies.

Osijo said in terms of inter-governmental relations, the NCRIB now has a profile that opens doors of opportunities for brokers in many government quarters, at the state and federal levels, urging brokers to sustain their commitment to ethical practice.
