NCRIB unveils Ahmed Salawudeen Library

A Hi-tech Library donated to the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) by one of its members, Ahmed Salawudeen, group president, Standard Consultant Insurance Group has been commissioned in Lagos.

The Library sitting on the Insurance Brokers House on Moleye Street Yaba according to the Council would assist in the human capital development effort of the profession.

Salawudeen at the commissioning of the library said the project was part of his contributions to the development of the insurance industry, calling on operators to unite and form a common front towards developing the industry.

Besides, he called on brokers to be proactive and ensure that they shun unethical practices which had in time past portrayed the industry in bad light.

Laide Osijo, president NCRIB commended the effort of the donor and called on other members of the council to contribute to the development of the sector. She noted that the donor remains one of the shining lights of the broking sector, as he made the highest single donation towards the completion of the council’s secretariat.

She said: “It is auspicious for me to state that Salawudeen has indeed distinguished himself by supporting the course of the NCRIB, especially towards the completion of the ultra modern secretariat, which has today remained a pride to the entire insurance industry.

“It is on record that Salawudeen is the highest single donor to the NCRIB building, a project he committed a whopping sum of N10 million towards its completion. As a great philanthropist that he is, his contribution, which came when it mattered most, galvanised the process of making the vision of the building a reality giving it the success story we are all telling today.”
