Premium Pension shines at Africa Pension Awards
Premium Pension Limited, one of the foremost Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) in Nigeria was honoured with two awards at the recently held Africa Pension Awards. The recognitions were for Driving Inclusive Coverage of Pension and Excellence in Corporate Governance. The Africa Pension Awards which is in its second edition was held as part of the World Pension Summit – Africa Special held Abuja. The events were organized by the National Pension Commission in conjunction with Pension and Investments/World Pension Summit, Amsterdam.
“This feat is outstanding by all standards” said Wilson Ideva, the Managing Director of Premium Pension Limited. “It is an endorsement of quality which Premium Pension represents and by extension the Contributory Pension Scheme in Nigeria.”
Premium Pension Limited has reiterated and demonstrated over time that public awareness and wider reach would consolidate and further expand the benefits of the CPS. This was the motivating factor behind the Reward4DHustle Campaign launched by the company earlier this year. The campaign aimed at profiting from the mass appeal of the social media to promote the CPS while highlighting the preparedness of Premium Pensions for the anticipated expansion of the pension market as a result of the extension of the scheme to the informal sector. It is not a surprise, therefore that Premium Pension Limited has been recognized as a driving force in the inclusive coverage of Pension scheme in Africa.
“These awards will give assurances to Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders and retirees that we are focused and committed to best practice” continued Ideva while elaborating on the award for Excellence in Corporate Governance. “We motivate individuals but build structures. The laid down structures and team spirit have contributed in no small measure to the successes we have recorded.”
“These awards have buttressed the already existing credibility of the company and the pension industry” said Kayode Akande, the company’s executive director, Business Development and Investment while corroborating Ideva’s position. “When you say that an organization is good in corporate governance it means that the organisation has put in place all the necessary safeguards against breaches. This is good for an industry as sensitive as the pension industry.”
Premium Pension Limited is noted for its knack for best practice, quality service and superior customer care. There has been a deluge of awards to the company since last year including those by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the Mobilisation of Pension Assets, BusinessToday Online Award of Pension-Company-of-the-Year and another Award by Africa Quality Magazine as Africa’s Most Innovative Pension Company of the Year, 2016. The company also was the first in the pension industry to get ISO Certification. It got the ISO27701: 2013 Certification on Information Security Management System.
“The Contributory Pension Scheme has come to stay” said Ideva “All these are motivating us to do even better.”
