Soyewo re-elected AIBA chairman

Feyisayo Soyewo, chairman, Prestige Insurance Brokers Limited has been re-elected chairman of the African Insurance Brokers Association (AIBA). At the Association’s General meeting held recently at the Re loyal Hammamet, Tunisia during the 19th African Re-insurance Conference, Soyewo was unanimously elected chairman having served previously in the same position for two.

Also elected to work with him is Udai Patel of Afro –insurance services, United Kingdom as vice chairman and Shuaibu Alli of KEK insurance brokers, Ghana as secretary.

The election was supervised by the secretary General of AIO, Prisca Soares while the president of Nigeria Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Laide Osijo was the electoral officer .

In his post election speech, Feyisayo Soyewo thanked AIBA members for the confidence reposed on him and his Exco members by his election and promised not to betray  the confidence .He also assured them of his preparedness to do more than he has done in previous years and with the support of all , he will lift AIBA to greater height .

Soyewo, a past resident of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) between 2003-2005 joined the  AIO in 1993 during the 19th AIO Conference in Zimbabwe .He was first elected chairman  of AIBA in May 2010 in Zimbabwe after holding office as Vice –Chairman .
