Abia pledges readiness to assist youths develop talents

Abia State government says it is willing and ready to support Abia youths with talents to excel in their vocations.

Uchenna Ebochie, special assistant to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on protocol and entertainment, who stated this in an interview with newsmen in his office, said the state government was determined to empower all her youths in whatever meaningful vocation they find themselves and urged them with budding talents to develop them.

Ebochie, who noted that Abia had a lot of potentials that were yet to be tapped, expressed joy that many Abia youths in the entertainment industry were doing well.

He used the forum to commend three movie stars from the state for being honoured with this year’s best actors Award by AFRIF and encouraged them not to relent.

He advised Abians in the entertainment industry to come home and contribute their quota to the development of the state, assuring them that the state government was willing to carry them along in its scheme of things.

Ebochie disclosed that efforts were being made to invite all Abia artistes in the Diaspora home this Christmas to see how they can contribute towards the development of the state through their various contacts.

He also congratulated Enyimba FC of Aba for lifting this year’s Globacom Premier League trophy in Lagos, and thus writing Abia’s name in gold.
