FAAN, FRSC collaborate on safety, security at MMIA access road
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have collaborated to ensure safety and security on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Access Road, Lagos.
Saleh Dunoma, managing director, FAAN, said the authority would continue to do its best to ensure safety and security on the MMIA Access Road, Lagos.
Dunoma made this remark during a working visit to the authority by officers of the FRSC yesterday, as the meeting centred on providing a safe and secure driveway along MMIA Access Road, Lagos by permanently vacating the petroleum tankers positioned along that road.
It is the primary duty of the petroleum marketers is to provide a permanent parking space for its tankers, however due to the authority’s concern for safety and security for airport users, it will do its best in assisting the petroleum marketers in ensuring that the tankers are parked and positioned appropriately, Dunoma said.
Those present at the meeting include members of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Henry Omeogu FAAN director of Airport Operations, action director of Cargo and Business Development, Femi Ogunode, director of maintenance and engineering, Omaghomi, acting director of Security Service, Abubakar Achimugu, general manager, Business Development, and Yahya Dantoro, assistant general manager.
