A family in Edo State is asking for help to find 21-year-old Aigbe Elvis who has been missing for over 2 years.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, and a jacket on Saturday 1 June 2015,  in his home town  Uhuwmnde local government area, Edo State, after he had returned home complaining how his life was in Danger.

According to Elvis father, Erhumwunse Aigbe said his disappearance was reported in December last year to the police and the circumstance surrounding his disappearance.

Missing Elvis Aigbe

“That night was the worst state I have ever seen him,  he kept repeating ‘my life is in danger  I need help to leave, they will find me’, I kept asking, who is after your life, that was when  he opened up and told me he had earlier in the day  renounced membership to a militant group in Niger Delta and the group are determine to kill him.”

“It is difficult to live with no idea if  he is alive or dead, We are pleading to the public if anyone has seen him”

His brother John Aigbe described Elvis as a caring, funny guy who loved to read, had a strong sense of faith and loved football. “He would always fill me in on who’s the new recruit, who’s injured,”

“We were very close, then suddenly he got closer to the one Benedict, and kept his distance from me, that fateful night he came to my place he spoke to me in fear, that his life was in danger, I asked to know why all he could say was Militants.”

Elvis closest friend could not hide his pains as he narrated amidst tears how “his gentle, ambitious and focused friend suddenly disappeared.”

He also told me how his friend, Benedict introduced him to the group, and now, the group would stop at nothing in taking his life. “that night we were able to raise some amount of money for him to leave the state now we can’t tell if he is alive or not.

The gloomy looks at the faces of family members who had gathered at the family compound, to mark over 900 days without knowing Elvis whereabouts, shows how much they all missed him,  while some others were seen praying he is still alive.

“Every morning we would get up and we would immediately check the garage because that’s where he would always sit and rest,” Elvis elder sister,  Adesuwa said

“When we were told of the trouble he was in,  at first I personally was very surprised, he is so easy going and friendly brother, soon after he disappeared, we have occasionally seen unfamiliar faces around our compound. “It’s hard to say  that you don’t know if your brother is dead or alive ”
