GAC Motor rewards outstanding performances in Africa’s movie industry

The 2016 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) ceremony has come and gone, but the continent will not forget the experience in a hurry.

The event, which has grown in leaps and bounds over the years, took her audience through an emotional rollercoaster on Saturday, March 5, and GAC Motor was part of the experience as two GS5 models was given out to two award categories; Trail Blazer Award and Best Overall Movie Award.

Diana Chen, chairperson of CIG Motors Co. Limited, in a statement said the partnership with AMVCA was designed to recognise and reward outstanding achievement in Africa, using television and film as a launch pad.

According to her, “The brand hopes to do more by constantly rewarding smart, innovative and highly intellectual Nigerians and Africans. Doing so would help Africans actualise their dreams.”

Speaking in the same vein, Khadijah Junaid, executive director of CIG Motors, said, “GAC Motor is a trail blazer and that is the essence of the sponsorship of the award category.”

Kemi, one of the award winner, has proven to be a trail blazer, she has created a path in Nigeria and Africa movie industry and she deserves the elegance and luxury that GAC Motor offers, Junaid said.
