Glo charges Nigerian children on honesty, hard work
Globacom has called on Nigerian children to imbibe the values of hard work and honesty, and shun vices like greed and indolence.
In a goodwill message to Nigerian children on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day celebration, it charged the children “to be obedient, respectful and exhibit good virtues at homes and in schools. This will help the children to achieve their desired academic goals and imbue them with the well-rounded development they need to become successful leaders of tomorrow.”
Nigerian children are highly talented and have the potentials to be world-beaters in all disciplines, the telecoms network said, adding that they would excel when exposed to the right environment as well as the most current teaching aids.
According to Globacom, “Our children are our future, so we must take our commitment to children seriously and ensure that they are properly trained and well taken care of as we prepare them for leadership of the Nigerian nation in future.”
The company admonished all stakeholders in public and private sectors, education administrators and religious leaders to pay more attention to programmes that would avail children all-round development. It affirmed that such would keep them empowered not only to excel as children, but also to thrive in adulthood. “They are our hope and our future. We cannot but take their growth and development seriously,” it said.
