Kano Govt. inaugurates N140m Injection sub-station at Tamburawa

Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on Wednesday inaugurated a N140 million injection transmission sub-station at Tamburawa, Dawakin-Kudu Local Government Area of the state.

Ganduje said the 33/11kv project would boost water supply at Tamburawa water treatment plant and that the power station would reduce over-dependence on generators at the treatment plant.

The governor also said the state governement had spent over N21 billion on the provision of potable water in the state.

“The state government spent over N21 billion on the provision of water and awarded a contract of over N14 billion for hydropower project at Tiga dam,” he said.

He said his administration would continue to make meaningful contributions that would enhance water supply in the state.

Ganduje cautioned the people against vandalism of the project and called on the workers to ensure judicious use of the facility.
