Kogi public schools to bounce back to life as model school – Bello
In a bid to bring qualitative education to all the senatorial districts in Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Bello has set up plans to turn all the public schools that are in shamble to model schools.
He disclosed this over the weekend during the celebration of his 100 days in office in Lokoja, adding that by the grace of God and with the people’s support all the public schools would bounce back to life.
Bello also stated that public schools were no longer meeting up with today’s challenges, as “private schools have taken over. You will see individual schools are milking us dry. In the days ahead by the special grace of God, our public schools will bounce back to life. Those who put their children in private schools will come back to public school.”
He also said “his administration would dedicate three model schools in each senatorial districts in the state, every group will be equally represented. Those young ones that have been divided will soon be reintegrated with quality schools across the board.
And we shall continue like that until all schools in Kogi becomes a model school.”
Whosoever believes in his administration and wants to follow will help to sanitise Kogi State and take it to a greater height, should work selflessly with his administration, irrespective of where you come from, he said.
The number one citizen of the Confluence state also disclosed that all our public schools were in shamble yet they have teachers who take salaries from the state coffers every month, adding that the schools are not meeting up with the realities on ground.
