Lagos Printing Corporation acquires hi-tech equipment
Lagos Printing Corporation has acquired state-of-the-art hi-tech equipment worth N4 billion as part of efforts to reposition the outfit for effective performance.
Speaking at the commissioning equipment last week, the state governor Akinwunmi Ambode said that the new machinery will ensure the corporation takes its rightful place among contemporary printing corporations across the continent.
“Today, we have repositioned the Lagos State printing corporation with the goal of joining the league of well-respected national and global players in the printing industry.”
Represented by Steve Ayorinde, the commissioner for information and strategy, Ambode charged the staff of the corporation to justify the huge investment by carving a niche for the printing press through innovation and dynamic performance.
“You have at your disposal, a facility that will guarantee top quality output, you are to deploy the appropriate human capital in terms of skills, attitude and professionalism”, he added.
Sakiru Odusanya, the general manager of the corporation, described the new equipment as the latest in the industry, assuring that there is no aspect of printing that the corporation cannot handle with the new acquisition.
He thanked the governor for the transformation and modernisation of the outfit promising that the machines would be put to good use and regularly maintained.
