Leaders urged to stress-test institutional readiness for rebound, growth

On the heels of current economic downturn, International Economist and Chartered Accountant, Olu Olasode has called on leaders of today to rethink strategies, realign priorities, block leakages, and stress-test institutional readiness for rebound and growth.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, on Enhancing Governance and Rebuilding Culture, Olasode said, “Economic downturn provides opportunities for repositioning, strength and growth.”

According to Olasode, the changing national economic landscape requires leadership that is proactive, understands the dynamics of change, and can formulate responsive actions to deliver sustainable improvements.

Olasode, who will be speaking at a two-day workshop on Governance, Cost Control, Reshaping Culture and Economic Leadership, in Lagos and Abuja, urged organisations around the world to find effective and sustainable ways of bouncing back from global depression and staying ahead of the game.

Other notable speakers include world’s leading forecaster on global economic trends, Richard Scase, and HR consultant, Niran Ogunoshun.

The open programme to be held in Lagos and Abuja between April 27 and May 4, will be facilitated by TL First Group in collaboration with the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM) UK, Institute of Directors UK and the International Transformational Leadership Network.

Participants at the programme will include board chairpersons and members, permanent/executive secretaries, managing directors, chief executive officers, executive directors, operational directors, heads of units, senior management staff in the public, private and third sectors.
