Nigerian economy will be great again – Kumuyi
William Folorunso Kumuyi, general superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, has said that despite multifarious problems facing Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy will soon be great again.
According to Kumuyi, the country will soon experience real change and transformation, while urging Nigerians to be patient, hopeful and look up to God who has the capacity to turn things around.
“My prayer is that God will assist the government to really pull through,” the respected man of God said at the Lagos City-wide crusade in Ikeja, saying, “change is coming and change is here already. It may not take place this very moment, but God is going to do something for our country and things are going to turn better.”
The Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is waging a war against corruption. The president intends to strengthen institutions and bring in honest people to man them.
A number of people have suggested that Buhari’s reluctance to appoint members of his cabinet is linked with corruption that dots the files of many politicians.
Kumuyi said the government needs the wisdom, power and support of God to succeed in this crusade.
“My prayer is that God will do for our nation what He has done for the people,” he said, while referring to miracles that took place at the crusade ground, where a case of insanity and other diseases were healed.
He said the efforts by the new government would be successful as God is ready to transform the country and make it great again.
Nigeria is characterised by immorality and all forms of evil that negate the Creator’s injunctions. Theft, robbery, corruption, immorality, bribery and other forms of vices have roots in un-regenerated lives. He said God does not condemn anybody but requires them to come to him and have the desired rest.
The GS of Deeper Life said God is knocking on the door of each person’s heart and will come in once he door is open.
