Oil/gas company partners Abia in road project
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has flagged off the construction of two roads, the Amuda community road in Umunneochi LGA and the Lohum Nkpa road in Bende LGA of the state.
While flagging off the construction of the Amuda community road, Ikpeazu disclosed that the project would gulp N800m out of which the state government would provide N500 million, while Mainland Oil and Gas Limited would contribute N300m.
The Governor thanked the chief Executive Officer of Mainland Oil and Gas, for assisting the state government and assured that government would do a quality job on the road.
He stated that he was committed to using the resources at his disposal to work for the people and called for the support and prayers of the people of the state for his government.
On the Lohum Nkpa road, he regretted that the road had been abandoned for long, adding that his vision was to ensure that every part of the state got a feel of his Administration.
He assured that the road project would not be disrupted and pledged not to derail in his activities.
Earlier in their speeches, the Chief Executive Officer of Mainland Oil and Gas Odinaka Igwe thanked the Governor for remembering Amuda people who had been marginalised over the years and pledged their support for his government.
