The committee, which is named Project Delivery Team (PDT), has been saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a seamless transaction of the project in conjunction with the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE).

The committee was inaugurated in the presence of Benjamin Dikki, director general, BPE, and has as its terms of reference to include collation of submitted expression of interests by prospective companies and evaluation of same, and preparation of request for proposals which would explain the rules of engagement and the development of information memorandum.

Abdullahi urged the committee to carry out its assignment with the required zeal and dedication so that the objectives of the project could be achieved within the stipulated period.

It will be recalled that Terminal B of old Warri Port, a multipurpose terminal, recently underwent a comprehensive infrastructural facelift which includes the reconstruction of quay wall, which was raised to the level of sustaining the terminal for operational efficiency. The quay wall was also aligned in straight line with the new terminal to accommodate bigger vessels.
