2016 International Petroleum Week to focus on uncertainties in energy sector

International Petroleum (IP) Week organised by the Energy Institute (EI), will hold from February 9 – 11, at the InterContinental Park Lane, London, the Energy institute has announced.

The Petroleum Week (IP) is one of the major annual international oil and gas events where decision makers gather to debate, learn and help shape the future direction of the industry. Delegates from over 50 countries will use the opportunity to share thoughts on the challenges and opportunities they face in the industry.

IP Week 2016 has the theme, “Navigating through uncertainty,” a theme that draws from the growing uncertainty in the world oil market. There will also be round table discussions on other key issues including the prospect for energy in a carbon constrained world, the role of natural gas in the energy mix and updates on the global supply landscape.

The three-day event will also examine the prospects for the industry in African China, Russia Latin America and the Middle East. It will focus on discussions on the state of energy demand, growth opportunities and prospect for gas in these countries.

This year’s event will feature conferences, round tables, and breakout sessions, on the state of affairs both globally and locally and provide a robust platform upon which participants can discuss and share knowledge on current issues and future scenarios.

Energy Institute lists the benefits of the conference to participants to include networking opportunities with over 2000 senior decision makers, an opportunity to learn of the developments in the global oil and gas industry, learn potential solutions and best practices to support strategic thinking.

IP week provides an avenue for oil and gas operators, regulators, representatives from the academia, clients and investors to discuss issues affecting the industry. Consultants from the energy, insurance, legal and the environment will also be actively involved in the conference.

Interested participants can book for a pass at the energy institute website.
