B7JV signs $10mln contract for design services with NDIC

B7JV, a UK-based joint venture lead by KBR, JGC and TechnipFMC have awarded a $10 million contract to NDIC, a Nigerian-based consortium lead by Netco, DeltaAfrik, IESL and Crestech for design services.

 

The signing which took place on Tuesday in Lagos at the FMDQ OTC securities exchange will see it support the engineering development for the Train 7 project for NLNG.

 

The contract would also provide basis for training and development of Nigerian Engineers looking forward to EPC. It is expected to provide  training for 800 to 100 Nigerian engineers in prepartion for the EPC contract bid. It would also safeguard jobs for 100 project team personnels from the United Kingdom.

 

The contract builds on the consortium prior involvement in the execution of Trains 1-6 and was rated ‘green’ by rating agency RAG.
