Lagos State to headline Nigeria International Petroleum Summit
Lagos State, along with 8 other states has been selected to be highlighted during the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS2018), an Africa Petroleum Technology and Business Conference (APTC) which will be hosted under the auspices of the Federal Government of Nigeria from 19th to 23rd February 2018 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
As a recognised government of Nigeria official international platform and the key event in the continent of Africa oil and gas industry, the technology and business conference will bring together Africa Ministers in charge of Petroleum and Energy, chief executives and senior level directors of major oil, gas and allied companies starting from next year to discuss key oil and gas projects in the Africa continent and ensure energy security.
The participation of Lagos state and other Nigeria oil bearing states in the exhibition testifies to its high status.
The Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the State Oil Company of Nigeria (NNPC) have shown invaluable support for the petroleum technology and business Summit 2018 as companies from Africa, Europe, Asia and America will take part in the exhibition to demonstrate innovative technologies in oil production and transportation of energy resources, provision of oil and gas storage systems, services, existing and future oil and gas projects in the continent, and much more.
The event’s status is consolidated by its line-up of sponsors which include the international, independent, marginal oil fields companies; service companies; financial services and insurance; construction and engineering firms among others.
According to James Shindi, the Project Director of NIPS2018, aside of been a launching pad for new onshore and offshore technologies showcase among leading E&P service companies, some of the robust and anticipated offerings at the Africa petroleum technology and business conference (APTC) include opportunity to witness licensing/ bid rounds, bid sign-off, major contract signing and economic diversification initiatives of the country.
